At Lucangeli , Christmas is a story of sharing, warmth and delicious food.
These olive oil and spice biscuits evoke Italian traditions while bringing a Mediterranean touch that enhances the flavors of winter.
📝 Ingredients (for about twenty cookies):

250 g of flour

100g of cane sugar

80 ml of Lucangeli ripe fruity olive oil

1 egg
-
2 tablespoons of honey
-
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/2 tsp ginger
-
1 pinch of nutmeg

1/2 tsp yeast
-
A pinch of salt
-
(Optional: a few orange zest strips or a little Lucangeli spread to fill them 😋)
🍳 Preparation:

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast and spices.

Add the Lucangeli olive oil, honey and egg. Mix until you obtain a smooth dough.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Roll out the dough (about 5 mm) and cut out Christmas shapes (stars, hearts, Christmas trees…).

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 170°C until lightly golden.

Let it cool, then enjoy with a glass of mulled wine or Italian coffee ☕️

Add a touch of pistachio or hazelnut spread between two biscuits for a more indulgent and festive version.
